Red Wing, MN (April 11, 2017) American rock and indie rock bands Weezer and Cold War Kids will be performing at Treasure Island’s outdoor concert venue on Friday, July 14, 2017.

Rock band Weezer was formed in Los Angeles, CA in 1992. Their current band members consist of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums), Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals, keyboard) and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals).

The bands self-titled debut album, also known as the Blue Album, became a triple platinum success due in part by the successful music and videos for their hit singles “Buddy Holly,” “Undone – The Sweater Song,” and “Say It Ain’t So.”

Their catalog of megahits include, “El Scorcho,” “Island In The Sun,” “Pork and Beans,” and more. Their single, “Beverly Hills” from the bands fifth album Make Believe, was their first single to top the US Modern Rock Tracks chart and the first to reach the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100.

Weezer has sold 9.2 million albums in the U.S. and over 17 million records worldwide. Their latest album, Weezer (White Album), is a self-proclaimed beach album that debuted at #1 in 2016 on the Billboard’s Rock/Alternative chart, and top 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band is working on their next album currently titled Black Album. There is no release date at this time.

In 2004, the indie rock band, Cold War Kids, was formed in Fullerton, CA. The current band lineup includes Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar), Joe Plummer (drums) and Matthew Schwartz (vocals and multi-instruments).

The band’s debut album, Robbers & Cowards saw sales close to 200,000 copies. Their other albums all did well with sales and fans. However, it was their fifth album release, Hold My Home, and the albums single, “First” that gave the band their first #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
