Welch, Minn. (April 16, 2018) Rock and heavy metal entertainers, Vince Neil, Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, Lita Ford, Great White and Quiet Riot make up the Island Rock Party and will be performing at the Treasure Island Amphitheater during the annual Island Block Party on July 2.
Headlining the Island Rock Party is Vince Neil, the legendary front man of Mötley Crüe. Neil’s unmistakable voice leads some of the greatest rock songs of a generation including, “Wild Side,” “Shout at the Devil,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Kickstart My Heart” and many others.
Mötley Crüe’s epic 34-year run included countless multi-platinum releases, more than 22 hit singles, 100 million albums sold and dozens of global tours in sold out arenas. The band completed “The Final Tour” on New Year’s Eve 2015, closing the book on its iconic career, but Neil continues to perform all the classic Mötley Crüe hits with select cuts from his three solo albums, Exposed, Carved in Stone and Tattoos & Tequila.
Best known as the singer-songwriter and front man of the Philadelphia based blues-rock band Cinderella, Tom Keifer is enjoying continued success and touring in support of his solo debut, The Way Life Goes. Whether delivering heart wrenching ballads such as “Don’t Know What You Got ‘til It’s Gone,” or playing sax on “Shelter Me,” Keifer is one of the most unique singers and accomplished musicians in Rock and Roll.
Lita Ford, is a British born rocker who grew up on the streets of Los Angeles. Ford is considered one of the most important female representatives of the rock genre. Ford was a founding member of the Runaways, one of the first girl groups that unexpectedly broke down the barriers in the punk rock era as well as crashed the male-dominated world of rock music. Following the demise of the Runaways, Ford concentrated on her own career and now looks back on many memorable hits including the chat topping duet with Ozzy Osbourne, “Close Your Eyes Forever,” “What Do You Know About Love,” “Shot Of Poison,” and “Kiss Me Deadly.”
Best known for their Grammy nominated Best Hard Rock Performance hit, “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, has six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums and two platinum albums. In 2017, the band released its new album, Full Circle.
Rounding out the evening of heavy metal and rock entertainment is Quiet Riot, the rock and roll phenomenon. The group is described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine. The band became an overnight sensation thanks to the monster 1983 album Metal Health which to date has exceeded the 10 million mark worldwide.
