Stray Cats come to the Island Event Center

Welch, Minn. (March 4, 2019) Stray Cats, the band that put Rockabilly music back on the record charts in the early ‘80s will be Live! In the Island Event Center on August 18.

Stray Cats was formed by guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer, upright bass player Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom and their music style was like nothing in pop culture at the time. They were popular right out of the box with the release of their self-titled and gold certified album which scored three hits, “Runaway Boys,” “Rock This Town,” and the very popular “Stray Cat Strut.” Their album, Rant N’ Rave With The Stray Cats produced another Top Ten hit “(She’s) Sexy + 17” and a Top 40 doo wop-styled ballad “I Won’t Stand in Your Way.”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 8th at 10 a.m. Tickets for this show will be $91, $79 and $69. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. All attendees must be 12 years of age or older and fans ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
