Melissa Etheridge is one of rock music’s great female artists. Her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which was released in 1988, is certified double platinum. Etheridge’s popularity grew around such memorable songs as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy” from her third album Never Enough, which she won her first Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal.
Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am, which featured the hits “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window” for which she garnered another Grammy Award. The album, which is six times platinum, spent more than two and a half years on the album chart.
The legendary Dr. John is a six-time Grammy Award winning musician and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. The embodiment of New Orleans’ musical legacy, his music combines blues, rock and roll, pop, boogie woogie and jazz. His debut album Gris-Gris, is ranked 143rd on the Rolling Stone’s “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time” list. Dr. John has recorded more than 20 albums and in 1973 scored a top 20 hit with “Right Place Wrong Time.” After 65 years, Dr. John is still creating music with passion.
