Jay Leno brings his comedy to the Island Event Center

Welch, Minn. (July 11, 2019) Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneer car builder and mechanic Jay Leno will be coming to the Island Event Center on September 15.

Jay Leno is best known as the late night television host of the #1 rated “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” where his ratings domination spanned more than two decades. During his time as the late night host, he was honored by the Television Academy with an Emmy for “Outstanding Comedy, Variety or Music Series.” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” has also taken home the trophy for “Favorite Late Night Show” in the annual TV Guide Awards.

 As if night-time dominance were not enough, Leno has channeled his passion for cars into a new project, “Jay Leno’s Garage” of which he is the producer and star of the NBC creation which is viewed on CNBC.

Along with Leno’s Emmy and TV Guide award he is also the recipient of a People’s Choice award, The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Television Academy’s Broadcast Hall of Fame.

When he is not on TV, Leno performs more than 100 stand-up shows annually across the country and internationally.
