Welch, Minn. (March 5, 2018) Frankie Valli and his band The Four Seasons have been singing blockbuster hits and entertaining audiences around the world for more than six decades and they will be here at Treasure Island Resort & Casino on Sunday, May 27.
It was in the early 1960s that the band released its first album featuring the single “Sherry” which was not only the first charted hit but also the band’s first number one song. Many more memorable hits were to follow such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Candy Girl,” “Ain’t That a Shame,” “Rag Doll,” “Who Loves You,” and “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night).” Overall, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have charted 71 hits which include 40 in the Top 40, 19 in the Top 10 and eight number one hits.
Valli and his trademark falsetto as the band’s front man, proved to be one of only two American bands (the other being the Beach Boys) to enjoy major chart success before and after the British Invasion. The band’s original members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and joined the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons are one of the best-selling musical groups of all time having sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
