In 2023, Rick Springfield brought a lineup of ‘80s rockers to venues across the U.S. with the “I Want My 80s Tour.” This year, he’s bringing the tour to The Island with special guests John Waite, Wang Chung and Paul Young. With over four decades of hits under his belt, Springfield is a true icon of the music industry. Using catchy hooks and powerful vocals, he’s made his mark in music with songs like “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “Love Somebody.”

Hailing from England, John Waite first found success as the lead singer and bassist of The Babys. Since launching his solo career in 1982, Waite has released 10 albums and achieved international success with hit songs like “Missing You” and “Every Step of the Way.” In between solo work, he released two albums as the lead singer of the hard rock supergroup Bad English.

Formed in London in 1980, Wang Chung is a new wave band that rocked the U.S. with hits like “Dance Hall Days,” “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” and “Let’s Go!” Featuring Jack Hues on lead vocals and guitar and Nick Feldman on guitar, the band achieved cult status with their soundtrack for the movie “To Live and Die in L.A.” and original song contribution to “The Breakfast Club.”

Paul Young broke onto the British music scene as the lead singer of Streetband, which then spawned into the R&B band The Q-Tips. After receiving a solo deal, Young found international success with hits like “Everytime You Go Away” and “Come Back and Stay.” Paul continues to perform as a solo act and with his Americana and Tex-Mex project, Los Pacaminos.
