Diana Ross’ remarkable five decade career has resulted in awards and music milestones. She is one of the most well-known and iconic female singers of all time and one of the most prominent women in popular music history and pop culture of the late 20th century.
As lead singer for the Supremes, Ross garnered 12 number-one singles in the U.S. becoming the most successful American group in history prior to the Beatles. Diana achieved an additional 6 number-one singles as a solo artist giving her a total of 18 number-ones! She also has 31 Top Ten singles in the U.S. and 14 Top Ten Albums along with selling an astounding 100 million albums around the globe.
Her career includes her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Songwriters Hall of Fame, NAACP Entertainer Award and Billboard’s Female Entertainer of the Century. The Guinness Book of Records awarded her its Lifetime Achievement Award and the title of “Most Successful Female Vocalist of All Time.”
