Christopher Cross 40th Anniversary comes to the Island Event Center

Welch, Minn. (January 13, 2020) Christopher Cross is one of the most successful adult contemporary artists and helped define contemporary radio with his distinctive smooth voice and sophisticated ballads and he will be here at Treasure Island Resort & Casino on April 18.

Christopher Cross made history with his 1980 self-titled debut album, winning five Grammy Awards including the four most prestigious awards: Record of the Year (for the single “Sailing”), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (also for “Sailing”), and Best New Artist.

Now, more than 40 years after his extraordinary emergence into the music business, Cross continues his recording and performing career with his most recent album, Take Me As I Am, that evokes the artistry of such great singer-songwriters as Joni Mitchell and Randy Newman while addressing contemporary concerns head-on, a combination which is sure to please his loyal fan base.

Come to Treasure Island and join Christopher Cross on his journey as he sings such hits as “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind,” “Think of Laura” “Never Be The Same,” “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do) and many more.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 17 at 10am. Tickets for this show will be $41, $35 and $29, and will be available at or at the Island Box Office. The show starts at 8pm. All attendees must be 12 years of age or older, and fans ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
